Carnegie Mellon University:

Master of Science in Product Management

I am currently a student at CMU's MSPM program - A twelve-month interdisciplinary graduate program integrating technical instruction from Carnegie Mellon's top-ranked School of Computer Science and a deep dive into business and marketing from the Tepper School of Business.

Below I have shared some of my work that I have completed so far during this program.

Product Management Intern - Strategic Marketing:

Between the two semesters of my MSPM program at Carnegie Mellon, I spent the summer working at Gems Sensors & Controls.  I was part of the Strategic Marketing team which developed new products to add to the existing portfolio of industrial sensors.  I was responsible for defining a new fluid sensor.  This process began with investigating the current market for this type of sensor across many industries such as food & beverage production, chemical process, and natural resource extraction.  I took this research, conducted customer interviews, and performed competitive analysis to define the target market and specifications of this new product.

Service Design - Pennsylvania Macaroni Company:

In this class, our group was tasked with designing a new service for the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company, a local grocery store which specializes in their expertice in fine cheeses, pastas, and cured meats.  This staple of Pittsburgh's Strip District Neighborhood was searching for new was they could deliver value to their customers and grow their revenue following a bit of a downturn during covid-19-related lockdowns.

In this class, I worked in a team of 4 to create a new startup concept over second half of the semester.  This included conducting user research, market research, and designing MVPs of the product.

RGT Cycling Competitive Analysis and Financial Modeling:

For this assignment in "Principles of Product Management", we were to look into virtual cycling startup RGT Cycling and compare their offerings with competitors Zwift and Peloton.  We were also tasked with estimating their financial situation and possible road to viability.

I wrote the entirety of the competitive analysis section (pages 1-4), the last two recommendations for the company, and proposed the idea to estimate their user base growth from their Instagram follower growth among other strategies for the financial analysis.

Medisys Case Study:

In this fictional case study in our "Managing People and Teams" class, we looked at the performance of a team at Medisys, a medical device manufacturer.  The team for their upcoming product had not been functioning well and we were to analyze the situation and propose improvements for the team from the perspective of a consultant.

I was responsible for generating and describing the suggestions for the Medisys team to implement in their organization (pages 3-5 of memo, presentation slides 7-11).

Product Roadmap:

In Principles of Product Management, our final assignment was to create a product roadmap for Instructure's Canvas product.  I wrote the stakeholder analysis section and contributed to the decision framework and evaluating each feature's merits.
